Steamworks has won multiple awards including a gold medal at the 2006 Great American Beer Festival. But Steamworks is more than a brewery. They also serve a good seafood boil. (Corn Cobs, Shrimp, Potatoes, Sausage, Crab) all boiled in a cajun seasoning and dumped onto your table. Im from South Texas, and some of Steamworks seafood blows away stuff I can get fresh at the Texas coast.
Atmosphere is nice, free serve yourself peanuts. Toss them on the floor. Although it is somewhat a bar, it is also a restaurant suitable for children.
Steamworks has locations in Bayfield and Durango, Bayfield is the closest to Pagosa Springs. Aprox a 40 minute drive. Variety: Seafood, Brewery, Bar Pros: Great Food, Fresh Seafood, Good Beer. 10 minutes from Sky Ute Casino. Cons: Usually busy, lack of parking, must park at closed bank usually. Wait time for food is reasonable but not fast. Bit of a drive from Pagosa Springs. |
