Right off the highway Pars is easy to find, only 1 light away from the expressway it makes a great stop for those craving middle eastern flavors. I found out after searching a little that this restaurant had earlier roots in another location and was well known by locals. After a few years being closed the new location I visited opened. I also found that the patio doubles as a hookah bar, after reading online. We visited durring the slow afternoon hours of the day.

Inside you will find yourself enveloped in an atmosphere that makes it seem your have traveled abroad. Middle eastern style seating (short tables with short chairs ) are available for those looking for an authentic dining experience. The walls in the center room are draped with silk cloths and a fountain adorns the center of the room.

The menu offers a wide variety of dishes including Gyros, yogurt drinks, falafels, basmati rice, stews, fish, beef and chicken dishes.

The wait staff was courteous and attentive in waiting on our table, we were offered samples of the yogurt drink since we were curious. The food was good and portions were of good size. We had food to take with us.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes middle eastern food and is looking for a good place to eat while traveling through Albuquerque.
